MyFiosGateway Login and Setup

MyFiosGateway login gives users access to the Verizon router admin interface. Through the web portal at myfiosgateway.com, users can manage important gateway router settings for wireless network configuration and security controls.

MyFiosGateway Login

MyFiosGateway enables Verizon router users to enter their router dashboard to change Wi-Fi settings and customize Fios network preferences with ease.

  1. Connect your device to the Verizon Fios network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
  2. Open any web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 or http://myfiosgateway.com
  3. Press Enter to load the Verizon router Myfiosgateway login page.
  4. Enter your Admin Username and Admin Password (labelled or previously set).
  5. Once logged in, you can change WiFi settings, password, update firmware, security preferences, and more.

Important: Make sure your phone or PC is connected to the Fios network to access the login interface. Restart your router if the page doesn’t load.

Find MyFiosGateway Username and Password

First time trying to log in to your Verizon router via MyFiosGateway, your default login credentials are already provided by Verizon and can be found easily.

Check the sticker on the back or bottom of your Verizon router. The label will show,

  • Username: admin (this is usually the same for all models)
  • Password: A unique password printed on the sticker, specific to your router model

Reminder: Take a clear photo of your router’s sticker or write down the details somewhere safe, in case the label fades or gets damaged.

Change MyFiosGateway Admin Username and Password

To improve the My Fios Gateway router’s security, it’s important to change the default login credentials. Follow these easy steps.

  1. Enter the MyFiosGateway admin interface.
  2. Go to the Advanced tab.
  3. Click on ‘System’ and then choose System Settings.
  4. Scroll to ‘User Settings’ and select it.
  5. Enter your new admin username and password.
  6. Confirm your new credentials and click Apply Changes.

Once done, your MyFiosGateway login is secured with the updated credentials. Be sure to store them somewhere safe for future use.

Change Verizon WiFi Password

Changing your WiFi password through MyFiosGateway is quick and simple. Follow these steps to secure your network.

  1. Using your admin credentials to log into the MyFiosGateway web interface.
  2. Click on Wireless Settings from the menu.
  3. Enter your new WiFi password in the Password field.
  4. Confirm your new WiFi password and click Apply Changes.

Once your changes are saved, all devices connected to your Fios network will briefly disconnect and automatically reconnect using the new password.

Consider saving an image of your WiFi password to remember it.

If needed, using the My Verizon app on your phone helps change your wireless network password and allows parental monitoring for parents.

Factory Reset Verizon Fios Gateway Router

If you’ve forgotten your MyFiosGateway login credentials or need to start fresh, you can easily reset your Verizon Fios router to its factory settings. Please note, this process will erase all custom configurations, including your Wi-Fi settings, and restore everything to default.

Make sure your router is powered on, then follow these steps to complete the reset successfully.

  1. Locate the reset button on the back of your Verizon Fios router, near the power port.
  2. Press and hold the button using a paperclip or similar object for 15 seconds.
  3. Wait for the router to fully reset, which may take a minute, and automatically restart itself.

Once the reset is complete, your router will be restored to factory settings. You can now access MyFiosGateway using the original login credentials and reconfigure it.

Note: To reconfigure your Wi-Fi settings and other preferences, follow the procedure above.
